Over the past decade, our engagements with MSMEs at the grassroots level have allowed us to identify numerous key issues encountered by them throughout their entrepreneurial journey. Upon reflection, it became clear that every business sustains and grows in stages and each of these stages have a unique set of problems. Unexpectedly, we found that many MSMEs lacked awareness of these challenges and of those who were aware, many believed that there was no viable solution. Without resolving the challenges of the first stage, progression to subsequent stages is hindered. Consequently, we found that many entrepreneurs were stuck in the initial stages of entrepreneurship, and struggled to grow their business.
